Q. Can I request DVDs, videos, cds, and other such items through interlibrary loan?

Answer

In our experience, most libraries (about 90%) do not loan these forms of materials. Because of the time and extra effort involved in locating a library which will loan them, there is a limit of two per semester for students and staff. There is no limit (within reason) for faculty. Non-University users have the same limit as students and should meet the requirement of instruction and/or research. Under certain circumstances, requests above and beyond these limits will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Requests for these types of materials often take quite a bit longer to fill, so please plan accordingly.
