Q. Dearest Librarians, I am a School of Letters student seeking a book..As an SOL student can I get this book via the Duke Library?

revising a paper for publication. I seek a books titled "Women and film : both sides of the camera" by E. Ann Kaplan. As an SOL student, can I achieve this book here in Durham NC via the Duke Library? What's the best way to go about this?

Hi there!

Thank you for your question! Just to clarify, you would like to request our copy of this book through Duke University's interlibrary loan services? Our copy is currently available and appears to be lendable. If you qualify to use Duke's ILL services, just have them submit a request and include us as one of the potential lenders. There might be a copy available at a library that is closer to you and they might use them instead. I also noticed that the Durham Public Library offers interlibrary loan services if you have a card with them.

Here is a link to their website: http://durhamcountylibrary.org/services/ill/

Because of the potential for loss, we do not normally send materials directly to the patron but to the borrowing institution. If you have any other questions, please let us know.

Many thanks!
